After months of planning, testing, and verification’s, The Seiler Geospatial Service team in St. Louis is proud to announce the opening of the calibration range for the Trimble SX10 Scanning Total Station.  The SX10 is one of the most advanced instruments that Trimble has ever created and because of the new level of versatility it offers, it also requires a higher level of service.  The Seiler service team has fully committed to providing this level of service with the introduction of a new calibration range.  This range was planned from the start to offer a level of precision that is unparalleled.  The 100% indoor range is climate controlled with targets ranging from 2.5m all the way through 130m.

Seiler is also able to offer nearly the entire calibration procedure from 1 single point of setup.  This eliminates moving the instrument from post to post, or station to station for different stages of the calibration procedure.  This single point setup has been accomplished by the construction of a stand-alone calibration room strategically placed at the head of a hallway that is longer than a football field.  When in use the room can be opened up and is optimally placed to access each of the 7 prism targets, 6 DR targets, 3 camera targets, and the Trimble scanning target.

When not in use, the calibration room is capable of being closed and locked to maintain the integrity of the collimators and equipment.  This room and calibration range were specifically designed  for the SX10, but because of the standards used when laying out the range, and the number of targets(which exceeds Trimble requirements), this setup has proven useful for a wide range of instruments.  In addition to being able to complete both warranty and routine calibrations, the Seiler service team is also able to offer Factory Authorized repairs to the Alidade of the Trimble SX10.  This calibration range is the next step in Seiler’s commitment to providing excellence in service to our customer partners.
