Latest American GPS Satellite is in orbit and testing begins SVN # 63

Back in mid July 2011 The U.S. Air Force successfully launched GPS IIF-2 Space Vehicle Number (SVN) 63

This is Boeing’s 2nd of 12 GPS satellites to be launched per the IIF series to replace older GPS SV’s. This one is replacing SVN 24 which has been in service for over 20 years.
