How to create a System report on your Trimble GPS device

If you are trying to trouble shoot your GPS unit and need to email a “System Report” to your Trimble Dealer below describes the creation process of the “System Report” for most of the Trimble MGIS hardware.

The “System Report” can help you and your dealer learn more about current Operating System and Firmware installed and for faster diagnostics of possible hardware issues.

Trimble GPS devices:

Nomad 900: Start/Settings/System/System Info  click on the lower part of screen until you are at “Snapshot”.  Click on “Generate Snapshot”

Juno S: None

Juno 3: None

Juno 5: Start/Settings/System/System Info: click on upper part of screen until you are at “Snapshot”.  Click on “Generate Snapshot”.

Geo 2005/2008: Start/Settings/System/System Report

Geo 6000/7X: Start/Settings/System/System Report

Yuma (original) and Yuma 2: Start/Control Panel/System/Performance Information and Tools/Advanced Tools and then click on “Generate a system health report”.  Then Click on File/Save As.  It will be saved as an “html” file.

  • System Report files will be saved as “txt”, “xml” and or “html” files.
  • Most System Report files will be saved in the My Documents directory on your GPS device.
