TSC5 Bulletin – Android 13 Update

By
| | Survey

Some TSC5 units that upgraded from Android 11 to Android 13 (OS v03.00.04) experienced application crashes if the built-in GNSS subsystem did not have a good
position fix. This issue was caused by an incompatibility between the GNSS driver and the Android 13 Location Manager. OS v03.00.04 also included a version of the carrier configuration database that did not permit modification of APN data for some carriers.  An updated OS with GNSS driver and carrier configuration fixes will be available the week of 19 February 2024.  Read the full bulletin here for entire update details.
